CD Denison Prosthetics and Orthotics is Hiring a Front Desk Coordinator Near Towson, MD

Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Coordinator. The to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a major role with creating a positive first impression to patients. This position involves providing exceptional service to patients, providing front office coverage, and ensuring patient calls and visits are handled professionally and with a high level of care.

Primary Duties:

  • Greet and check-in patients, collect Insurance Card, picture ID, prescription, Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), X-ray, clinical notes, completed registration packet, and other documentation; Ensure documentation is saved in patient records
  • Establish and build rapport with patients; Treat patients and their families with respect and per the Code of Ethics and Patient Care Standards
  • Escort patients to exam room and notify practitioner
  • Answer phones, establish caller’s needs, and provide assistance; Transfer calls as appropriate upon completing information gathering process and obtaining detailed information (i.e. caller’s name, patient’s name, call back number, reason for call)
  • Retrieve and respond to telephone voice messages; forward to other team members as appropriate
  • Input new patient information, make appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and run Same-Similar Check, request prescriptions/notes/other documentation from referral sources as appropriate
  • Confirm upcoming appointments
  • Process all newly completed/received devices, and schedule patient
  • Verify that the next day’s deliveries are complete and ready for delivery, and move devices to appropriate practitioner shelf
  • Monitor email and fax for incoming orders
  • Monitor Fab Tracking & WIP throughout the day for tasks that are assigned to you
  • Straighten and clean exam rooms

Experience / Skills:

  • One to three years of experience working as a receptionist, front desk assistant or similar position
  • Prior experience working in a medical related field is a plus
  • Prior experience / knowledge with insurance verifications & authorizations is a plus
  • Knowledge of Patient Health Information under HIPAA
  • OSHA training and CPR certification is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and service orientation
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; Demonstrated ability to effectively manage tasks with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment; Ability to maintain a high level of focus and concentration with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
