Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:

• Quickly build rapport with both clients and co-workers.
• Understand the issues people experiencing homelessness face and approach those issues with empathy.
• Strong computer skills and ability to maintain client records in electronic record system.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Access to reliable and efficient transportation to travel throughout King County.

Preferred:

• Case management experience.
• Real Estate or Property Management experience.

What YOU will do:

• Manage a case load of 17-20 clients in varying stages of the program curriculum.
• Develop and implement housing stability plans in partnership with clients.
• Support clients with housing location, budgeting, and tenant responsibilities.
• Process financial assistance tailored to individual client needs.

Get to know the role

Case Managers partner with clients to co-create housing stability plans. They meet with clients at least monthly and possibly more depending on client needs. The average day will include helping clients to apply for apartments, working with our legal team to overcome a client's previous eviction and providing rental subsidy to clients on your case load.

Get to know the Rapid Rehousing Program

Rapid Rehousing Program is a short-term housing intervention that helps clients to quickly move into the private rental market. We work with clients to stabilize in housing and take over the rent independently.
