Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Food Service Director, the breakroom coordinator assists with the day-to-day operations of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada employee breakroom. Comply with all initiatives and guidelines while maintaining a clean environment, in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Stock vending machines
• Set up coffee stations and replenish as needed
• Check products for freshness and quality
• Maintain the storage conditions of goods received in the warehouse

• Clean, sanitize and general upkeep of the breakroom area and equipment
• Ensure that product is within date and displayed properly
• Exercise proper inventory controls (FIFO) 
• Restock condiments, snacks and disposable utensils
• Report any Maintenance issues to Food Service Director
• Assist with unloading product from trucks and organize stock room
• Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department in order to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of work and information
• Work in all areas of the food service division as needed ( Food Pantry, Dining Hall and Warehouse)
• Other related duties as directed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of proper food handling and storage preferred
• Able to read, write and do simple math problems
• Knowledge of all Agency policies, including safety
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Possesses a valid Clark County health card
• Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• One year of grocery or restaurant/quick service environment experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate and use office equipment, especially computer, keyboard and mouse.
• Operate back room equipment, including pallet jack, baler and compactor
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., push up to 200 pounds on a push cart, and enter walks ins -10 degrees with or without assistance
• Ability to stand for duration of shift, walk frequently, bend, and reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance. Employees will be required to stand, sit, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp and navigate safely on potentially slippery floors

This position pays $18.00 per hour.
