Job Summary:
We are seeking part time Surgical Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the surgeon during patient procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our dental practice. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:30 to 5:00.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, including but not limited to extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, oral pathology and cosmetic procedures.
- Take x-rays and CBCT
- Generate patient history & exam notes and surgical notes in EMR and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control guidelines

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- Current certification in Dental Assisting and X-ray certification is required
- Oral surgery assisting experience
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining strict infection control protocols
