Job Description: Lead all aspects of procurement in North America with focus on customer On Time Delivery (OTD), past due reduction and inventory optimization. Influence and help drive supplier relationships, supplier selection, supplier long term purchasing agreements, supplier inventory stocking programs, and regular business reviews with all suppliers servicing the North America Spellman facilities. Work with Senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans, initiatives, and metrics to maximize the value added for our inventory investment. (this will entail improvement of inventory turns, reduction of excess inventory or inventory with no visible demand, minimizing the acquisition of excess inventory, achievement of 100% on time work order start, drive toward 100% delivery to customer request date or other metrics as may be applicable as part of the company strategy. Establish effective partner relationships with Business Development Managers, Sales / Customers Lead key business reviews – manage metrics & performance to customer demand. Collect and analyze changes in Sales / Customer Forecasts to identify patterns, timing, accuracy, and risks leading to internal changes in materials demand (by family, by item, by customer). Work with sales to create measurable value by optimizing and identifying patterns in customer demand data. Monitor and communicate significant changes in pricing, market drivers, and availability of key commodities, services, and raw materials. Work with all site and functional teams to set up systems and tools which promote customer OTD, inventory balance, and optimal cost / throughput. Develop and maintain key components, sub-assemblies & finished goods supply plans for manufacturing operations to meet customer demand (orders and forecast) within operational resources while achieving inventory and cost objectives. Ensure regular and timely meetings occur, metrics are reported and leveraged to guide future decision making where relevant. Challenge input data against history, market trends and strategy. Document and communicate key actions and decisions to drive organizational alignment around the optimized plan. Identify supply and demand issues (and gaps to plan), identify scenarios to mitigate, and prepare recommendations for senior leadership review. Integrate key processes including but not limited to customer forecasts, statistical forecast models, installed based service models, market intelligence, inventory plans, product life cycle plans, operational capabilities, and external supply chain partners to generate an optimized global plan. Support overall roadmap to achieve objectives, including process, application support tools, policies, and control mechanisms. Define opportunities for improvement driven by operational excellence, customer satisfaction and cost reduction. Drives implementation efficiently utilizing team resources and in close collaboration with other functions and departments. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals. What You Need: Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in purchasing or sourcing leadership driving results in OTD and inventory. Change Management expertise and certification preferred. Lean or Six Sigma Certification preferred. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred. Excellent ERP System expertise, with experience in the implementation and upgrade of ERP systems preferably in Glovia. High proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint. Self-motivated and innovative. Strong attention to detail and attitude of ownership of work performed. Ability to multi-task within a dynamic environment. 10% travel Fluent in English and Spanish preferred. Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $112,486 - $160,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package. Spellman takes safety seriously.
