As a registered nurse - IV vascular access (RN), you will access patients' circulatory systems using catheters. Working at a hospital, surgical center or other health care facility, you will start and maintain intravenous lines, PICC lines and midlines, draw blood, administer medications and fluid therapy, monitor patient response, change dressings, and provide patient and family education. You'll play a critical role in preventing disease and helping your patients recover from surgery and illness.
