Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ink Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Ink Technicians are responsible for blending of ink to support the Press Department. This position will collaborate with production teams to ensure inks and coatings are prepared to meet customer specifications and production needs. The work hours for this role are a split shift (Monday through Thursday) from 11am-9pm with flexibility to work Fridays and standard first and/or second shift hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and well-organized work area.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Records color formula in color management software and issues formula and mixing procedure.
• Review daily production schedule to ensure timely preparation and staging of inks.
• Maintains Ink room inventories, (inks, solvent, adhesive, operating supplies).
• Verifies ink components are available and used as specified.
• Performs quality color checks.
• Assists with troubleshooting ink related issues at the press.
• Related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in printing and knowledge of ink procedures.
• Excellent teamwork, and interpersonal communications skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain hiqh quality standards.
• Good computer skills plus ability to learn color management software.
• Lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color acuity and the ability to adjust focus.
