CCI Industrial Services, LLC is Hiring a Tank technician Near Valdez, AK

General Description :

The Tank Cleaner- CDL Driver position is responsible for assisting with removal of various substances. This position operates a vehicle often a vehicle with air brakes to support various aspects of projects.

Essential Duties & Job Functions :

  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending.
  • Ensure all equipment is always ready. Report any discrepancies.
  • Daily checks of fluids.
  • Maintain 100% "Safety Standards and Accountability" in all areas mandatory / regulatory.
  • Maintain compliance with required HSE training.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns / incidents / issues promptly.
  • Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to safety concerns / incidents / issue promptly.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur.
  • Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all response-related equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and training.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, and remote locations.
  • Ability to clearly speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work closely in a small shop.
  • Knowledge of basic computer technology, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is required.
  • Class B CDL with air brakes is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Pass Background Check

Preferred Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Class A CDL Preferred
  • Hazardous material endorsement.
  • Basic Laborer Experience.

The position is on-call 24 hours / day while on shift. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet the demands of the job.

Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives.

  • Position may be exposed to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the construction site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts;

high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

  • Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

Physical Requirements :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard.

  • MOBILITY : Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push / pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • HEARING : Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY : Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING : Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 70 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION : An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire / post offer FCE.

Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
