Connnections Behavior Planning & Intervention is looking for experienced and highly competent Registered Behavior Technicians to join our highly qualified team of Behavior Technicians and support the success of our various clients.
Client Support Specialists are responsible for delivering instruction based in ABA to children and adolescents with autism, emotional behavior disorder, and/or other special needs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). This may include teaching appropriate behaviors relative to communication, socialization, and self-help skills.
Current (2023-2024) Full-Time Openings:
  • Various School Districts in the Greater Seattle/Puget Sound Area
  • Includes but not limited to: Everett School District, Northshore School District, Lake Washington School District, Issaquah School District, Tahoma School District, Federal Way School District, Highline School District and Shoreline School District
  • Kirkland/Kent located Centers
  • Home Based Clients
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • All responsibilities of standard RBTs (i.e., work 1:1 clients, follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA, take data on all target behaviors, attend team meetings, debrief with parents daily, write daily session notes, collaborate with BCBA during observations, daily set up and clean up).
  • Support clients on both long-term placements as well as subbing to assist with coverage of staff absences as clinical need arises.
  • Model professional conduct at all times.
  • Work with a variety of different clients, running programs with fluency and fidelity.
  • When direct service needs are not present, this position will also support in the training and continual development of staff by:
  • Modeling and explaining behavioral terms and principles to fellow staff members
  • Collect data on both client and staff performance simultaneously with fidelity when opportunities arise. Conduct fidelity and IOA checks on RBTs.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss barriers and new initiatives.
Minimum Requirements (education, certifications, knowledge, skills and abilities):
  • RBT Credential
  • At least 3-6 months working in the field of ABA in centers, homes, or the public education system
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to label and define key ABA terms (additional training can be provided)
  • Ability to pass the trainer assessment, including running session with high fidelity (achieving at least 90% IOA)
  • Positive reference from a current BC(a)BA or Director
  • Ability to commit to this position for at least 4 months
  • Good standing on compliance with attendance and time off parameters
  • Reliable automobile with current proof of car insurance
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass FBI criminal background clearance
Preferred Requirements (education, certifications, knowledge, skills and abilities):
  • At least 1-2 years working in the field of ABA in centers, homes, or the public education system
  • Proven track record utilizing Behavior Skills Training
  • Strong understanding of the ISP and IEP process
  • Strong consultation skills, including building rapport and communication skills
  • Strong writing and scheduling skills with efficient time management and organization
  • Strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis
Working Environment:
  • Multiple locations: The working environment may include a clients’ home, school setting, or CBPI center or a combination of locations.
  • Must be able to travel to different locations within the Greater Seattle Area
  • Staff can access a company iPad and other computer as it pertains to your role
  • Periods of stress may occur within the clinic setting
Physical Demands:
  • Activities require a significant amount of moving and engaging with clients. This may include sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking, and running.
  • Must be willing and able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the client’s positive behavior support plan and QBS training in the course of working with individuals with challenging behavior including but not limited to: aggression, property destruction, floor dropping, and elopement.
