Default Portal is Hiring a Litigation Attorney / Senior Associate Near Charlotte, NC

Offit Kurman, a growing full-service Am Law 200 firm serving the private client market, is seeking a litigation attorney to join its Charlotte litigation practice. The successful candidate will primarily focus on real estate litigation, representing title insurance companies, insureds, lenders, owners, lawyers, developers, and contractors. This role offers the opportunity to manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the case, including drafting case evaluations, conducting thorough legal research, preparing pleadings and motions, and representing clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide strategic legal advice and representation.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • J.D. degree, licensed in North Carolina and in good standing with the state bar.
