Cboe Global Markets is Hiring a Senior Data Compliance Specialist Near New York, NY

Job Description

Job Title:

Senior Data Compliance Specialist

Location: flex hybrid NYC

Position Summary:

Performs reviews and audits of data recipients to ensure they are in compliance with the Cboe data agreement and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits of global Cboe data recipients to verify compliance with the Cboe data agreement and policies, including but not limited to: Review of systems using Cboe data; Understanding entitlement and permission systems for data; Verify reporting of data usage and qualification; Review external distributor subscriber agreements for disseminating data.
  • Communicate with the data recipient frequently to get information necessary to conduct the audit.
  • Use and enhance tools and techniques to verify, analyze and validate the information provided by the data recipient including but not limited to identifying unauthorized use of the Cboe data.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing the audit and findings.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between various data sources in order to identify the areas of risk.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Required

  • 5-8 years of financial industry experience with market data vendors.
  • Knowledge of the market data business.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven PC skills within the work environment that include frequent use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include previous work experience that required preparing written analysis and documents.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and the ability to complete projects and work assignments both working independently and as a member of a team within deadlines.
  • Prioritize work to meet objectives of multiple or competing priorities/projects; shift focus quickly relative to changing priorities; identify, communicate, and strategize regarding situations that may impact successful execution.
  • Respond to inquiries or requests for assistance promptly and courteously; identify customer needs through active listening and clarifying questions; meet commitments and check for customer satisfaction; manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
  • Ability to make rational judgments on complex matters.
  • Knowledge of commercial entitlements control systems such as Refinitiv's Data Access Control System (DACS), Bloomberg's EMRS etc.
  • Generic knowledge of market data contracts and policies.

Preferred

  • Financial Information Associate certification a plus
  • Experience in conducting onsite and remote audits of the trading systems, databases, entitlements systems, cloud technologies, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Technology, or related subject.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $104,000-$171,600. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
