Community Bridges is one of the largest providers of substance abuse/behavioral health treatment in Arizona. We are currently looking for a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) for our Community Based Outreach (CBO) Program at our TAP location.

The PSS-CBO will work specifically providing outreach and supportive services in the community. This position also serves as a linkage for Community Bridges, RBHA, and Community Based Services. The PSS-CBO provides supportive services to those in need by utilizing the peer to peer philosophy and meeting the patient where they are physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. The PSS-CBO provides services ranging from fixed, community based outreach, street (respite) outreach, events in the community, to transports and ongoing supportive services. The PSS works in conjunction as part of the Peer Support Team.

Skills/ Requirements

A PSS-CBO is an individual who is in recovery from AOD use and/or GMH for an appropriate period of time (greater than or equal to 1 year); has a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Six weeks of behavioral health work experience or receives six weeks of continuous onsite direction from a behavioral health professional, a behavioral health technician, or a behavioral health paraprofessional who has at least six months of behavioral health work experience.

Must have valid AZ Driver’s license in good stand and able to provide clean 39-month MVR.
