Primary Focus

The PowerBI Developer will be a key position at Diplomatic Security, initially supporting financial reporting before transitioning to other internal projects. In this role, you will develop PowerBI reporting on key financial indicators, both collecting requirements and promoting innovation. This PowerBI Developer is an expert in creating compelling visual insights that drive business outcomes and actions.

Responsibilities

• Leverage knowledge of U.S. federal government processes in shaping Microsoft Technology responses
• Assess financial reporting, identify gaps for the development and operations of a broad, business portfolio, and develop visualizations to solve for those gaps.
• Work closely with the PM and other Stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support BI solutions from multiple data sources (Splunk, SharePoint, Oracle, etc.) using Microsoft technologies including Power BI.
• Perform system and data analysis to implement PowerBI solutions.
• Requires the ability to develop creative technical solutions while applying Microsoft best practices.
• Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic hybrid solution environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent education-related experience.
• Minimum of ten (2) years combined experience in the Information Security / Cybersecurity domain with a focus on Microsoft Technologies.
• Secret Clearance required.
• Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

• Must possess problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft certifications and training a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
• Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
• Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
• Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional office environment.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
• Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
• May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
• May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
• May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
