Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. a private, non-for-profit health and human service agency located in Auburn, NY has a Full Time Therapist position for our Children's Community Treatment and Youth Services Center.

Therapists will use their skills to:

• Perform assessments of clients referred to therapy.
• Provide short-term, long-term, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based therapy modalities.
• Identify the modality that will best meet the presenting needs of the child and make recommendations. Modalities that will be provided through this program include Trauma-Focused Cogenitive- Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Expanded Early Pathways for Young Traumatized Children, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
• Be part of the Multi- Disciplinary Team, attend meetings and provide information about trauma and its effects on children.
• Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision and staff development activities.
• Maintain timely and appropriate documentation and record keeping.

Requirements include:

• A Master's degree in a mental health related field (Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy)
• NYS licensure or a limited permit is required.
• Knowledge of child development and awareness of trauma and traumatic stress and treatment interventions preferred.
