Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, financial reporting, and technical accounting.

Duties:

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning

- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records

- Coordinate the preparation of external audits and tax filings

- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships

- Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX regulations

- Oversee the preparation of government reports and filings related to taxation

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency gains

- Manage a team of finance professionals and provide leadership and mentorship

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution industry

- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial report writing, and account reconciliation

- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QBooks or similar platforms

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

- Proven ability to lead a team and drive results in a fast-paced environment

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
