WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Maintenance Coordinator familiar with Arizona State Regulations related to the assisted living industry. We need someone with strong leadership skills to oversee a team of professionals and ensure the efficient management and maintenance of our facilities. We need someone with strong understanding of building systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate. As a Gold Stream team member, we need someone to emulate the Gold Stream brand with a focus on service, exceeding expectations and creating exceptional, memorable moments for all residents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize building services operations.
• Manage the overall maintenance and repair of our facilities, grounds, and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas of improvement and promptly address any issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
• Monitor and control expenses related to building services, seeking opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations and alignment of goals.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on all maintenance activities.
• All other duties as assigned by Executive Director of the Senior Living Community.
• Coordinate and supervise a team of maintenance and housekeeping staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
• When not performing building service responsibilities, devote best efforts and full cooperation with the Executive Director in the overall operation of the property in accordance with the Management Plan approved by Gold Stream Retirement Communities. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Familiarity with Arizona State Regulations as they pertain to the Assisted Living industry.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems, codes, regulations, and industry standards
• A minimum of three (3) years prior experience in maintenance and repair, in a senior living community or healthcare setting.
• Must be able to pass a background check and eligible to work in a licensed senior living community.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and inspire a team.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in computer applications and facilities management software
• Dependable vehicle for transportation. 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or associate degree in a related field preferred.
