We are seeking a dependable and organized CDL-A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina. As a CDL A Driver, you will assist our warehouse team with loading trucks at the start of the shift and then work as part of the team in providing delivery of our products locally. We ask that all our CDL A drivers perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. This position is full-time working four days a week, Tuesday through Friday on first shift (4 am - 2 pm).

Principle Responsibilities:

• Drives a commercial vehicle safely primarily in our road operation during overnight hours.
• May occasionally have to make a customer delivery or pickup.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
• Provide excellent customer service to all accounts and suppliers.
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries.
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
• Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
• Track and report working hours.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
• Comply DOT regulations
• Make safety a priority at all times
• Must have a valid CDL A license with year of driving experience.
• Must meet minimum requirements for MVR.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate with supervisor, current and prospective customers on a professional level and to communicate effectively.
• Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
• Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to process information/merchandise.
• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Must have a valid Class A unexpired driver's license with a clean DMV record.
• Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units.
• Must possess a current DOT medical card
• Participate in a DOT random drug and alcohol testing pool.
• Must pass criminal background check, driving record, drug screen and any other information as required by state and federal regulations and by the Company.
