Quality Assurance Analyst

We are an A- Rated Life Insurance Company seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Analyst with working knowledge of operating systems, and gaining knowledge of SQL, and I-Series database.

To be successful as our Quality Assurance Analyst, this position requires resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently, on a self-directed basis.

Essential Functions

• Resolve basic policy administration system data issues occurring in daily batch processing and working with end users and the IT department to determine resolution.
• Perform testing on enhancements to the policy administration system by communicating with management, users, and IT staff when necessary.
• Assist with reviewing and testing the policy administration system annual release.
• Testing new products as defined by actuarial documentation.
• Review, test, and validate various software applications, including policy illustration software.
• Provide end user documentation and training for the policy administration system.
• Validate and test programming updates.
• May assist other units in the organization as needed.

Competencies

• Requires intermediate clerical skills: keyboarding (40 wpm), 10 key (4000 ksph), filing, copying, scanning, faxing, proofreading, researching, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position requires face to face and in-person interaction and requires the incumbent to be in the office during regular office hours to access information kept on-site.

Required Education and Experience

• Some College or Insurance Certification or License
• Minimum two years related experience
• LOMA Level 1 Certification (281 & 291), required as part of initial training plan

Preferred Education and Experience

• College or University Degree in related area
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Minimum five years related experience and two years experience within the insurance/financial industry
