Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center, located in West Islip, on the south shore of Long Island is looking for medical intensivist to join our team. Good Samaritan Hospital is a 437 –bed teaching hospital and a member of Catholic health. The medical intensive care unit (MICU) is a twenty-five bedded closed critical care unit. We care for well over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island.

Critical Care Intensivist

Closed Unit 

Responsibilities:

• Directing and providing medical care to patients within the MICU
• Providing consulting services throughout the hospital and emergency department
• Opportunities exist for procedures, including but not limited to central line placement, dialysis catheters, arterial lines, endotracheal intubation, thoracentesis and bronchoscopies
• Opportunity for clinical studies and teaching residents, nurse practitioners and physician assistants
