Environmental Service Aide I
Must be able to work Weekend and Holiday rotation
Responsibilities:
•Performs Daily cleaning of Discharge Patient rooms, ensuring all ten cleaning steps are completed
• Able to perform cleaning techniques/procedures in OR and L/D cleaning
• Able to perform cleaning techniques/procedures in Isolation cleaning and in wearing proper PPE equipment
• Able to perform non-routine cleaning assigned/scheduled; i.e. cubical curtains/ice machines/refrigerators/rolling stock using appropriate cleaning equipment
•Collect and transport non-regulated waste to the proper location
•Collect and transport regulated waste to the proper location
•Responsible for maintaining a safe/sanitary working condition
•Responsible for reporting broken and unsafe equipment
•Responsible for turning in a completed and signed/dated work sheet
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and neat appearance while representing the department
• Responsible for cleaning the grounds of the hospital
•Performs other duties asked by and under the umbrella of the Environmental Services Department
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Work Experience
Experience/Skills: Knowledge of floor care (will train cleaning procedures)
