Job Details

Responsibilities:

Provides needed supports necessary for individuals to obtain or retain competitive employment by overcoming functional deficits and assisting with job referral, job development and job placement.. Employment Specialist also delivers ancillary supports and coordinates other services needed by PROS recipients based on medical need.

  • Secures Referrals to ORS from their case load, other group leaders and from client self report that they are competitively employed and who need ORS services
  • Assists individuals with job readiness, job search and employment skills.
  • Assists in determining Ticket-to-Work Status for individuals who want direct placement services without going through ACCES-VR services.
  • Meets daily with PROS Program Supervisor to coordinate support services needed to aid individuals in recovery.
  • Provides ongoing rehabilitation services, intensive rehabilitation services or community rehabilitation services as per individual's plan.
  • Reports and records daily and bi-monthly notes as per PROS regulation and maintains files, evaluates and modifies as necessary.
  • Facilitates group activities with PROS participants for CRS service categories.
  • Meets individually with PROS participants to provide ORS services.
  • Develops IAP for individuals receiving PROS services in conjunction with collaterals and team members.
  • Tracks billing units as they occur along with supporting documentation.
  • Drives Agency vehicle as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in the field of Health Science/Human Services preferred or the foreign equivalent of such a degree, and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience working with the MI populations preferred.
  • Possess and maintain a valid NYS driver's license within Agency criteria and own a vehicle
Salary Range
USD $24.97 - USD $28.05 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
