Lobby Guard - Weekends - 3rd Shift

Catholic Financial Life (CFL) offers an excellent opportunity for a Lobby Guard to maintain a secure building, provide excellent customer service to all guests, and respond to emergency and security situations when necessary. This position acts as the first personal point of contact for associates, visitors, and residents of the building along with monitoring building security cameras and the alarm system. Other responsibilities include being alert to all movement within the building, inspecting building areas per security guidelines, handling inquiries in a professional manner, receiving deliveries for commercial and residential tenants, and arrange for equipment loan and return. Please note that after business hours, lobby guards work alone and unassisted.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Lobby Guard, you will:

Maintain a secure building environment:
- Monitor the building, parking structure, and the Honeywell Alarm System
- Secure building entrances and stairwell doors as well as perform physical checks
- Responsible for observing and reporting any discrepancies on a daily log
- Respond appropriately to any emergency and security situations
Act as the first personal contact to any associates, visitors, and commercial and residential tenants
Other duties as needed:
- Monitor and pull residential trash and dumpster
- Breakdown cardboard boxes for recycling
- Arrange for service for elevators
- Assist tenants in lock-out and other situations
- Accompany vendors to approved areas
- Shovel snow and salt
- Handle minor maintenance problems

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A LOBBY GUARD

Possess strong communication skills
Approach others in a service-oriented way with a customer focus
Ability to handle difficult people and/or situations with professionalism
Display good interpersonal skills and is nonconfrontational
Ability to work independently and unassisted
Flexibility appreciated to cover other shifts on occasion
Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be available to work Friday (midnight - 8:00 am) & Saturday (midnight - 8:00 am)
High School diploma
Work experience with the general public preferred
