The Campus Laboratory School at Carlow University invites applications for an elementary education teacher position in primary grades. This is a ten-month, full-time appointment to begin in the Fall 2023. The primary instructional responsibilities of the candidate will be full-time teaching in 1st grade, conducting literacy assessments, planning and implementing curricular units, effectively managing classroom discipline and procedures, effectively communicating with parents, and collaborating with colleagues across grade levels and academic teams. The ideal candidate would be student-centered with the ability to create and implement meaningful developmentally appropriate classroom activities. Why Carlow University?

Requirements/Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Education (Master degree preferred)
Eligible for PA teacher certification (PreK-4th)
Knowledge of the science of learning
Experience with conducting literacy assessments
Understanding of universal design and classroom accommodations
Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching
Embrace of Carlow’s mission and mercy values
Willingness to actively engage in community-based activities and partnerships
Ability to use instructional technologies (Content Management System/LMS; Microsoft Office applications) in support of student learning and professional collaboration.
