Catholic Diocese Of Fort Worth is Hiring a St. Michael Academy Substitute Teacher Near Bedford, TX

The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas.

General Position Summary: Help with classroom activities of pre-kindergarten children and provides other assistance in the implementation of a pre-school program.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Assists with activities appropriate to the age level of each child in class. Participates in games, read to children, sing songs, and teach simple painting, drawing, and handwork.
  • Assists children in eating, resting and toileting. Supervises children in clean-up. Serves snacks, drinks, and/or meals.
  • Assists children in hygiene.
  • Maintains discipline.
  • Assists in the clean-up of the room: cleans tables, sweeps and vacuums floors, removes trash, and returns equipment to storage areas.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • This position works in a typical classroom environment and requires the ability to lift small children and change diapers, if necessary.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel requirements.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • High School diploma.
  • Experience in caring for children.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • A practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church (preferred)
  • Detail oriented. Organized. Strong ability to learn.
  • Successful completion of the Diocesan Safe Environment process.
  • Must love children.
  • Good communication skills with team members and parents.
