Gilmour is seeking a talented, experienced STEM/Technology educator who shares our excitement for teaching and learning for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Classroom responsibilities will mainly consist of teaching STEM and Technology to elementary school students. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about personalized student learning and effectively connects with students, families, and colleagues across disciplines and divisions to enact a rich, vibrant curriculum. Well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the capacity to grow professionally and will be equipped to engage students at all levels. While classroom instruction will be a primary responsibility, candidates should be eager to support co-curricular science initiatives, facilitate learning beyond the classroom, and participate enthusiastically in the life of the school. A high level of technological proficiency and demonstrated use of technology within the learning environment is preferred.

In addition to expressing aptitude and enthusiasm for classroom teaching, excellent candidates will:

- Be enthusiastic about educating young people in the Holy Cross tradition. - Possess current Ohio Licensure. - Masters in Mathematics and/or Science and/or STEM preferred or related Educational background. -Evidence of at least three (3) years of exemplary classroom teaching experience. - Background and experience in teaching robotics, coding, typing, and responsible use of technology to elementary-aged students. - A proven track record in the use of a rich array of instructional methods, the analysis, and use of data and technology to improve instruction, and the ability to build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan collaboratively. - Evidence of productive experience with problem-based learning. - Excellent communication skills. - Have the ability to produce significant gains in student outcomes - Experience in delivering professional development to teachers. - Evidence of planning, organization, and time management skills that will bring structure and accountability to the position. - Proven ability to apply science and/or math content knowledge, formative assessment, and technology integration. - Deep understanding of student learning theory, brain-based learning, and differentiated instruction. - Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning. - Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration. - Works directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of technology initiatives and curriculum. - Organizes, develops, and coordinates special STEM/Robotics events/activities.
