Saint Martin de Porres High School is seeking a dynamic, energetic and self-driven Relationship & Student Support Manager to be part of an innovative urban college-prep and career readiness high school experience.

OUR ORGANIZATION Saint Martin de Porres High School is part of the Cristo Rey Network of Catholic schools designed exclusively for students of modest means. Our competitive edge is our Corporate Work study program, which allows students to gain real world work experience while receiving a college preparatory education. Eighty percent of our students will be the first in their extended families to go to college. Our rigorous curriculum, which includes students working in a corporate environment, was designed specifically for our school by a committee of prestigious educational leaders. Saint Martin was founded in 2004, we are chartered by the state of Ohio and accredited through the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association. Our mission of College and Career Readiness is centered around five pillars: Work, Study, Serve, Lead, and Pray.

POSITION SUMMARY The Relationship & Student Support Manager is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of work-study client accounts, supporting CWS student engagement initiatives, and contributing to team success. The Relationship & Student Support Manager supports the overall efforts of Corporate Work Study. This manager focuses on strategies to increase student satisfaction with CWS and ensure student associates are performing at an optimal level at their sponsors’ workplace. Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES This is a general representation of the key duties and responsibilities required of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Relationship Manager: Serving as a primary Relationship Manager for an assigned portfolio of CWS clients/sponsors: Develop and maintain ongoing good relations with CWS sponsors and the supervisors of student associates. Intentionally building relationships based on trust and respect. Provide excellent customer service to students and supervisors including consistent check-ins. Address concerns as they arise, resolving complaints and preventing additional issues. Identify the need for and assists with additional student training as needed working with parents, staff, faculty, and Chief Operating Officer and CWS team as necessary. Conduct supervisor on-boarding with new CWS clients/sponsors new to the program with the goals of successfully sharing the mission of Saint Martin and build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships. Conduct two site visits per year with each client to assess student working conditions and assess the program via supervisor feedback. Manage the process of re-contracting accounts and soliciting increased commitments. Serve on one grade level team, participating in weekly meetings. Support CWS efforts to comply with US Department of Labor regulations. Network in community and contribute to new partner attraction efforts. Manage the daily check-out process M-F on workdays. Contribute to student and supervisor development efforts with the CWS department including: Contribute to the formation of student job assignments and switches based on student skills and personality, and partner job descriptions to ensure successful job site placement. Assist in event-planning for job retention, student-parent orientation, and CWS clients/sponsors appreciation events. Student Associate Support: Working with our CWS Associates (workforce development coaches) the Student Support Manager’s objective is to lead and ensure success of our students through successful interventions and behavioral correction of students at work. Student Support manager is responsible for creating and maintaining positive relationships with Saint Martin students in support of their Corporate Work Study experience. Employ Restorative Practices in CWS operations, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with CWS team members and Saint Martin leadership on issues regarding students’ eligibility to be a student at Saint Martin. Responsible for assisting with the creation, implementation, and communication with CWS staff and families of the strategies related to student success. This will be accomplished in the following major areas: One on one, small group training and retraining of students Coaching Curriculum development for these job skills programs Job counseling with students to help them find solutions and make improvements in the workplace Assists with conducting/planning remedial workplace training for students terminated from job, focusing on students’ areas of improvement to set them up for success in new job placement. Continue to revise and strengthen the coaching and preparation of students going to work assignments. Assist Director of Operations, Training & Credentialing with the implementation of career opportunities/exposure opportunities for students Maintain relationships with students, with a focus on job coaching and preparing students for employment Facilitate student orientation/training, including specific duties as decided by the planning committee. Duties may include agenda, curriculum development, safety training, and logistics. Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Training & Credentialing and the Chief Operating Officer

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant work experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/TRAITS Organized, with very effective time management skills. Capable of managing several initiatives simultaneously while working in fast-paced environment. Understands the need for and is able to maintain and protect all confidential materials and information. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with various audiences including students and parents; corporate sponsors; and colleagues. Strong team player, able to work closely with CWSP team members and faculty and staff. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
