Catholic Charities West Michigan is Hiring a Supervisor, Community Based Family Preservation Near Muskegon, MI

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing supervision to the Fathers Matter, and Empowering Youth Today programs and working as part of a team providing Family Preservation services.

The position is in charge or recruitment and retention of the local leadership team for the Local Leadership group (LLG). This positon is responsible to carry out state driven, system level, home visitation Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects in the local community and building

capacity to integrate and sustain home visitation services in a childhood syste

Annual Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $51,165.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees Fathers Matter and Empowering Youth Today program operations.
  • Provides leadership and program supervision to Empowering Youth Today and Fathers Matter Programs.
  • Accepts program referrals and coordinates the assignment of cases.
  • Transport clients.
  • Provides individual and group supervision to staff and monitors program documentation.
  • Hires, orients, and trains new staff.
  • Maintains regular contact with referring agencies to build and maintain a collaborative approach to service delivery for families.
  • Attends meetings related to Muskegon Area Intermediate School District (MAISD), Empowering Youth Today, and Local Leaderships Group programs.
  • Ensures Agency and program and contract requirements are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuous quality improvement (CQI) and contract data is maintained as required by the Agency and contracts.
  • Maintains appropriate records, databases, collects and evaluates data for reporting and grant submission for all programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Sexual Risk Avoidance education and ensuring to meet state requirements and guidelines.
  • Schedules and attends all Empowering Youth Today Coalition meetings.
  • Attends all training and meetings related to Empowering Youth Today, Fathers Matter, and Local Leadership Group.
  • Facilities community services, legislators, and collaborating with the community and parents.
  • Responsible for community grant reporting.
  • Attend and participate in community collaboration/meetings related to agency and agency programs.
  • Facilitate and coordinate all LLG activities, including monthly LLG meetings.
  • Develop a local leadership team including required staff and recommended community partner members.
  • Support and integrate parent leaders in the LLG team.
  • Carry out state driven, system level, home visitation CQI projects in the local community.
  • Build capacity to integrate home visitation services into an early childhood system.
  • Attends Great Start Collaborative Meetings.
  • Completes all required reporting requirements for Fathers Matter, Empowering Youth Today, and Local Leadership Group.
  • Performs other special assignments at supervisor’s request.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A minimum of four-years of experience working with children and families in a child welfare/family support services delivery system.
  • Experience should include a background in home based, family preservation and support services and experience working with children and families in strength-based solution focused manner.
  • Previous experience providing supervision to workers.
  • Ability to promote the philosophy, beliefs, values and interventions of the home visitation & support programs.
  • Demonstrated organizational, management and interpersonal skills.

Recommended Employment Qualifications

Education:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Human Services. Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of four-years of experience working with children and families in a child welfare/family support services delivery system.
  • Experience should include a background in home based, family preservation and support services and experience working with children and families in strength-based solution focused manner.
  • Previous experience providing supervision to workers.
  • Ability to promote the philosophy, beliefs, values and interventions of the home visitation & support programs.
  • Demonstrated organizational, management and interpersonal skills.
