Job Summary:

The Volunteer Program Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, placement, orientation, training, engagement, coordination and recognition of volunteers. This position also assists with programming tasks and provides direct services to clients. There are two positions, one dedicated to Emergency Services and one to Senior Dining. 

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Manages the volunteer program of Catholic Charities including the Recruitment, placement, training and coordination of all Volunteers within the programs. Assigns volunteers to work stations and provides training. Assures that all records of hours and activities are maintained.
• Oversees the receiving and distribution of donated clothing and household items, coordinates the storage and distribution of seasonal goods and schedules volunteers to complete tasks. 
• Assist with Special Projects including recruitment and scheduling of volunteers for large community and agency events such as Toys for Tots and Back to School programming.
• Manages the client services process including interviewing new clients, responding to special client requests, and make referrals as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Job Related Experience: Three (3) years of volunteer supervision and/or volunteer experience, customer service or human services work.
