We are currently hiring a Registered Dietitian, to work in our Tri-County Services. The Registered Dietitian will work at the Ellis Food Farmacy. The Ellis Food Farmacy is a unique one-stop “Food As Medicine” program serving eligible food- insecure, provider-referred individuals with chronic or critical health concerns impacted by nutrition. The program combines consecutive-month individualized nutrition education, food orders from the in-house healthy pantry and caring support. Participants experience the confidence and ability to focus on their healing, try new foods, apply new learnings, and minimize food-sourcing anxiety.
As the Registered Dietitian, you would be responsible for:
- Delivery and development of the nutrition counseling and education component of the program
- Provide individualized, nutritional assessment and counseling, along with menu planning and meal preparation education
- Guide client-choice food selection from the pantry
- Maintain all required program documentation of services provided
- Maintain relationships with community partners
- Complete all required monthly reporting and statistical reports
- Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure all participants receive comprehensive and coordinated support and assistance
Registered Dietitian Minimum Salary: $25.00
Registered Dietitian Maximum Salary: $30.00
Registered Dietitian Schedule: 15-20 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nutrition Education or related experience
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- 1-3 years in nutrition counseling preferred
- Valid NYS driver’s license
