Join the St. Jerome team as a Case Aide. The Case Aide is directly assigned to the St. Jerome Emiliani Foster Care Program case management department. The Case Aide ensures that case managers can effectively support the clients by providing them with the necessary resources, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with the team will contribute to the overall success of the program and the well-being of the clients.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • One (1) year of experience

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Valid Texas driver’s license.

  • You are able to prioritize responsibilities, handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • You demonstrate knowledge and understanding of professional boundaries with children in care, staff, and volunteers.

  • You experience and competency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel and Access databases, telephone, calculator, fax machine, automobiles, and copier.

What you Deliver

  • You research and gather information about various resources and referrals available to foster care clients, such as support services, counseling, educational programs, healthcare facilities, and community organizations. Maintain an up-to-date and organized list of these resources to facilitate easy access and efficient assistance for case managers and clients.

  • You prepare physical and digital client binders with relevant information, including personal details, legal documents, case history, and assessment reports. Organize the binder in a clear and structured manner for easy reference and retrieval of information. Ensure DHS and ORR placement documents are filed and uploaded to Portal software. Ensure the provision of two weekly telephonic contacts with family of origin, primary caregiver, and/or sponsor. Assist with the coordination of legal service provider's "Know Your Rights" presentations. Facilitate attorney to client contact as requested by the attorney or youth.

  • You ensure that all necessary documents, reports, and forms are accurately filed in each client's case file. Ensure the provision of follow up service phone calls are conducted 30 days after youth's reunification.

  • You regularly file, close and review physical case files on ETO or UAC Portal software to verify completeness and accuracy, conducting audits to ensure compliance with program standards and regulations.

  • You assist case managers in scheduling appointments, meetings, court hearings, and other important events. Keep track of upcoming deadlines and ensure that case managers are aware of their responsibilities and commitments.

  • You assist case managers in maintaining communication with clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders.

  • You help with data entry and record-keeping, ensuring that all information is accurately entered into the program's database and ETO system.

  • You collaborate with other team members to coordinate services and support for the clients.

  • You provide administrative support, including preparing monthly reports, correspondence, and presentations as needed. Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive client information and adhere to ethical guidelines.

  • You attend all organizational required trainings and facilitate trainings as needed.

  • You attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or provided and to ensure that changes to policy or practice are implemented and adhered to.

  • You perform other duties as required by supervisor.
