Join the Support Services team as a Supervisor. The Supervisor, Support Services is responsible for the direct supervision and training of the Support Services staff. Professionally managing members to ensure that agency policies and procedures are being followed. Also responsible for scheduling appropriate staff to complete donation pickups, moves management, meeting, and event setups, building and warehouse maintenance to ensure a clean environment. Responsible for scheduling staff coverage for the multiple agency locations. Contributes to the daily office routine, helping to provide coverage for Support Services Assistants duties on a rotational basis and for vacations and illnesses. Provides summary reports regarding the level of service provided by the Support Services team and monthly reconciliation reports.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years Building Services experience or related field.
  • One (1) year previous supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving records.

  • You have the ability to drive a 16ft box truck throughout the day.
  • You demonstrate success in dealing with a variety of staff, senior management, and volunteers.
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have prior experience in logistics, facilities management, or event coordination.
  • You have the ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
  • You have flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events or emergencies.
  • You have the ability to handle confidential information.
  • You have the ability to drive a forklift and conduct weekly maintenance checks.
  • You have the ability to use computer and Microsoft Office
What you Deliver
  • In conjunction with the Support Services Director, you coordinate day-today facility operations, including event and meeting set up's, supply inventory management, parking, crowd control, security, donation pickups, moves management and deliveries to other agency locations. Assist with overseeing departmental teams as needed to ensure the success of the Support Services team.
  • You manage the operation of warehouse and storage facilities. Oversee the sorting, valuing, and packaging donations for distribution according to target goals and funder requirements. Supervise staff as they maintain the cleanliness, organization, and storage, planning of donations and furniture storage areas. Ensure that file storage areas are organized and maintained ensuring requests for archived documents are pulled accurately and in a timely manner.
  • You are responsible for updating and turning in payroll time for staff members and scheduling staff vacations. Facilitate the compilation of data and entry of PIR information into monthly PIR spreadsheet.
  • You conduct monthly staff meetings which include safety training component for staff members.
  • You work with Building Services, volunteer groups, and program directors to assess and complete assigned projects. Performs other duties as assigned by the Purchasing and Support Services Director.
