Job Description
· Associate degree or High School Diploma and Three or more years working with children, adults and child welfare/OCFS.
· Interpersonal communication skills and written skills.
· Effective time management and organizational skills.
· Responsible, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks.
· Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word.
DUTIES and Responsibilities
· Teach parenting skills to reduce risk’s and prevent placement.
· Work towards reunification of families involved in the foster care system.
· Develop goals, based on the individual need of the family.
· Meet with family on a weekly basis for a minimum of one hour per week and up to a maximum of eight.
· Thoroughly document contacts into the statewide system, within 48 hours of contact.
· Conduct service plan reviews every 90 days with family and supports to review goals progress and document any concerns pertaining to the child’s well-being.
· Conduct safety assessments as required.
· Assist and perform any other duties as assigned.
