Job Title: Legal Intern - Through the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association "Stokes Scholar" Program

Location: Catholic Charities Corp., Administrative Offices, 7911 Detroit, Cleveland, OH 44102

Duration: 8-week summer internship, 20 hours per week

Stipend: $2,400 for the duration of the program

Job Description: Office of General Counsel internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in the legal field. You will work under the guidance of an experienced attorney and gain invaluable insight and skills that are foundational for a career in law.

Responsibilities:

• Complete legal assignments and tasks as directed.
• Engage actively in all CMBA external educational sessions, including orientation, Lunch & Learn events, and field trips.
• Adhere to professional standards, including office norms, confidentiality agreements, and expectations management.
• Participate in group activities and excursions designed to enhance your understanding of the legal system.
• Utilize and respond to feedback from mentors and program coordinators to improve professional skills.

Qualifications:

• Planning to attend, currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from college with an interest in pursuing a career in law.
• Demonstrates strong academic performance and a passion for law.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
