Summary

The Driver / Coordinator is respon s ible for t h e s afe and legal operation of agency vehic le s. The Driver / Coordinator is r espons ibl e for the coordination an d implementation of all aspects of choosing , planning , and carrying out consumer activitie s and outings.

T hi s position works closel y with the Qualified Intelle c tual Disabilit y Profe ss ion (QIDP) to ensure activ e treatment programming i s occurri n g with in the residential program.

Thi s pos ition require s a high school diploma. The Driver / Coordinator reports to the Busines s Manager.

Knowledge, skills, and ability

This position requires suffic ient knowledge a nd skill s to mak e the activities and outings safe and e njo ya ble for the consumers and t o eff ecti ve ly train and monitor Direct Support Professionals impl ementation of consum e r pro g rammin g.

The indi v idual mu s t be able to maintain open communication wit h all levels of staff and external service vendors.

• Training and guiding other workers as it relates to carrying out the act i v ities.

• Es t a b li s h es and maintains effective co mmuni cation wi t h all l eve ls of s ta ff , state p e r so nnel , advisory board, community gro up s, clients, and vo lunteer s.
• Co ndu cts gro up classes b y manag in g the activiti es appropriate t o residents' age and le ve l s of funct i oning .
• Reports a nd coordinates an y n ecessary maintenan ce w ork o n age nc y veh icles.
• Maintain s the cleanliness of the vehicles.
• Prepare s all requir e d re co rd s and reports.
• Assures t hat the vehicles are maintained in a safe manner.
• Perfo rm s othe r duti es as directed b y the supervisor.
