Make an impact in your community by joining the Summer 2024 Youth Employment Program. Work alongside student mentors and a team of youth to contribute to the Lynn community in an impactful way. This is an 8-week program from July 1^st to August 23^rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bring your enthusiasm and join our team of like-minded youth to make a positive contribution to your community!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform community work at various locations including Catholic Charities Food Pantry, My Brother’s Table, and Salvation Army in Lynn, MA.
• Participate in educational field trips to local organizations such as Lynn Community Television, Root North Shore, Lynn Museum/Lynnarts, and YouthBuild in Salem.
• Paint public spaces such as MBTA bridges.
• Work in local schools helping move furniture and setting up classrooms for summer and fall classes.
• Contribute to Lynn’s community landscaping project through beautification of public sites (weeding, leaf removal, trash pickup, mulching tree beds). 
• Work in local offices making copies, filing papers, and cleaning office space.
• Join the Beyond Walls community art project. 
• Engage with public official speakers such as judges and police officers in question-and-answer forums.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No previous experience required. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
