PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Resident Service Navigator at Catholic Charities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct building guests to appropriate services and staff members.
• Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate extensions.
• Monitor, document, and enforce resident and property policies and rules
• Responsible for business support duties such as tracking and updating shift logs, reporting property maintenance problems, front desk coverage, and other back up tasks.
• Applies appropriate techniques and standards in program development and service delivery of case management services to clients under close supervision.
• Recommends the necessary level of intervention by evaluating client data.
• Under guidance, develops and modifies treatment/service plans for individuals, families and ancillary service providers for review. Implements as directed.
• Provides supportive services and basic counseling and crisis intervention to assist clients in reaching treatment goals.
• Implements program objectives and performance standards as directed by supervisor/ management
• Performs comprehensive psychosocial assessment of clients within established guidelines through interviewing, record review, and other appropriate methods.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community and governmental benefit services and ability to work with employees of programs designed to enrich the lives of residents.
• Ability to comfort residents and their families during difficult situations by speaking with them and helping them with various needs.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply the basic theories and practices of counseling and social work, interviewing and assessment techniques, and professional reports and documents preparation.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $21.50-$23.50/hour Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) field from an accredited college or university in social work or assigned program specific specialty. At least 6 months additional related experience and/or training preferable.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.
