SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting and supporting the Respect Life Denver Office with daily operations for the benefit of the ministry. Assists with parish engagement, client outreach and communication, community interaction, and relationship development with parishes to promote life and the dignity of services across all Catholic Charities ministries.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Liaison with the Respect Life Denver Office at Catholic Charities (both individual & groups)

  • Organize and manage 40 Days for Life Campaigns and all events that are related to it (40 Days for Life Spring and Fall, 365 Days for Life, and Eucharistic Procession).
  • Direct and guide Prayer in the Square locations throughout Archdiocese of Denver.
  • Promote and organize devotional support for the Colorado Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.
  • Support in the organization of the Celebrate Life March.
  • Assist with seeking, planning, and promoting additional Respect Life and Catholic Charities events throughout the year.
  • In collaboration with Community Engagement Specialists, assist the Marketing Team to create content for our social media platforms.

Communication Coordinator for Hispanic Community Outreach

  • Present Pro-Life topics to the Hispanic Community and represent Catholic Charities and her ministries.
  • Assist ministries with English to Spanish translation of marketing and communication materials.

Parish and Community Outreach Engagement

  • Work alongside Parish and Community Outreach team to support in communicating activities and needs through Respect Life leaders and through Hispanic network.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including ability to make presentations and speak in front of groups in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in social media and communication platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Ability to learn new digit platforms including Canva, Flocknote, MailChimp and others.
  • Ability to apply and integrate Catholic Social Teachings to motivate others to action.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to author routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$20.00-$23.00/hour DOE

Schedule: Dependent on location. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
