Primary ResponsibilitiesSelecting the fall play in collaboration with school administration, making sure the selection is appropriate for a Catholic Central audienceWorking with school administration to maintain the appropriate budgetConduct auditions (ideally in May) to build the castBegin play rehearsals in early August, coaching students toward an excellent high school theater productionSecuring and collaborating with set construction crew, lighting designer, sound designer, and costumerSupervising students and practices and performances, prioritizing their safety in accordance with diocesan standardsHolding high standards and appropriate boundaries with studentsCommunicating with students and parents in a professional and safe manner according to diocesan policyHolding supporting professionals accountable for the same high standards in working with students, families, and colleagues, including those from other organizationsCommunicating and collaborating with the staff of the Performing Arts Center at Aquinas College Circle Theater, and West Catholic High SchoolAs needed, attend the biannual PAC meeting to advocate for the needs of Catholic Central’s theater programCoordinate publicity for the showCoordinating with Catholic Central’s Director of Enrollment, the Diocesan transportation team, and partner school principals on any performance attendance requestsMaking decisions and communicating in ways that reflect positively on the Catholic Central communityOther duties as assigned
