**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the ongoing maintenance and operation of our facilities on an historic campus in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who understands the sacred nature of our church building and the importance of the other buildings on our campus, and will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of our physical plant.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage and supervise all maintenance operations, including HVAC, industrial maintenance, and electrical systems

- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols

- Conduct routine basic repairs and maintenance using basic maintenance skills

- Coordinate with external contractors for more specialized repairs and maintenance projects

- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement or repair

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and diocesan standards

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

- Proven experience in project management and maintenance management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing facility operations
