Cathay Bank - Headquarters is Hiring a Loan Assistant Near Chicago, IL
GENERAL SUMMARY
Following established company policies and procedures, assists Loan Officers in the following essential functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow up on reporting financial covenants and documents.
- Coordinate past due insurance tracking and follow-up with insurance agent for renewal. Upon receipt, review, and update in loan system.
- Organize credit and legal files, scan, and upload to Imaging System.
- Prepare payoff demand letter, and reconveyance for recording.
- Order reports (credit report, OFAC, appraisal, environmental, etc.)
- Assist with loan closing and booking.
- Assist with various account monitoring activities and handle customer inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: College degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Experience in a lending or banking preferred, but not required.
- Skills/Ability: Proficient with Microsoft applications; Proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English; Bilingual in English and Chinese a plus.
