We are looking for energetic, hardworking, experienced/skilled bartenders for weekend events. If you like variety, change of scenery, and the fast pace of food service, we want you! We offer $20/hr tips on weekends and weekly pay!

We need seasonal Event Bartenders to assist with weekend events. Typical shifts are Friday, Saturday and occasionally Sunday nights, from the months of April-November. If you are looking for part time work to make some extra income, we encourage you to apply. Previous bartending experience required. Banquet experience is a bonus!

Catered Creations, Inc. is a family-owned, off-premise catering company. Our family has been serving Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas with imaginative foods, quality ingredients, and reliable service for over 36 years. We’ll cater any event from corporate meetings to grad parties to weddings, and everything in between. We’ll even bring ‘the kitchen’ to our clients & their guests!

Responsibilities:

· Provide excellent customer service

· Pack all bar related items and load them prior to event

· Set up the bar area or portable bar for each event

· Verify all beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and fruit according to the client specific contract

· Learn the menu & be able to explain ingredients & preparation methods

· Serve beverages to guests in accordance with TIPS certification guidelines

· Assist Serving staff & Back of House if needed

· Assist in bussing of glassware and table service items

· Assist in event clean up

· Maintain a clean & effective workspace

· Assist in unloading & loading of catering equipment for off-premise events

Qualifications:

· Able to lift/carry at least 30 pounds

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Able to work on feet for 8 to 10-hour shifts

· Able to work nights & weekends (Friday & Saturday availability is mandatory). Typical shifts are about 6 hours in length and finish by 10:30 pm at the latest.

· Reliable transportation

· Valid Driver’s License (not required, but preferred)

Compensation & Hours

· Week shifts are $18/hour

· Weekend shifts include $2/hr differential! (Friday nights, Saturday & Sunday shifts)

· Tip share- all banquet food tips and bar tips are combined monthly and dispersed amongst all crew members based on hours worked. This averages ~$1.50-$3/hour worked.

· Same week pay! Always get paid within 2-4 days of working! (on following Tuesday each week!)

· 10-25 hours per week dependent on employee’s availability
