Professional Development Specialist Coach

How you’ll be there for educators and students:

Be there for them by building their skills in key instructional areas like literacy, math, STEM, technology implementation, and blended learning. How you’ll do it:
  • Provide direct support to instructional leaders and professional development specialists in assigned schools and systems to improve achievement of students.
  • Work with professional development specialists to provide best practices to deliver comprehensive instruction, use data to analyze individual and school-wide trends, improve the design and delivery of instruction and interventions, and make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need.
  • Leverage a deep knowledge of research-based best practice and take a hands-on approach to support professional development specialists across content areas.
  • Deliver engaging and exceptional professional learning experiences and job-embedded coaching support to improve teaching and learning.
  • Provide non-evaluative feedback on instruction.
  • Become familiar with regional standards and the materials that are core to instruction in partnership schools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience teaching math, literacy, technology, or STEM curriculum.
  • Experience delivering professional development workshops to adults.
  • Experience coaching professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
