Catapult Learning is Hiring a Part time School Psychologist Near Brockton, MA
The school psychologist will work with students in grades K-12, providing psychological evaluations and determining services in accordance with MA state law, IDEA guidelines, and Catapult Learning policy and procedures.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Performs a child study assessment including comprehensive psychological evaluations, assessments of intellect, development, academic, social/emotional, and behavior status.
- Performs diagnostic testing and interpret assessment results to determine students’ needs.
- Determines student's particular strengths and weaknesses as a learner.
- Serves as member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Leads assessment feedback meetings with both school personnel and parents to review results/findings and develops specific interventions on behalf of student.
- Generates reports for feedback to parents and school personnel.
- Maintains student caseload in compliance with state timelines and other state/company guidance.
- Advises teachers and other school personnel on methods to enhance students’ abilities.
- Works as a referral agent linking students and families when appropriate with "outside" agencies to service their needs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Must be a certified MA school psychologist with at least two years experience in field.
- Must have thorough knowledge of testing and evaluation techniques and competent in assessment procedures and interpretation of the results.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
