Position Description

Catamount Constructors, an industry-leading national general contractor, has an immediate opening for a Construction Technology Specialist. This role could be performed in any of our 3 Business Units - Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, or San Antonio, TX.

Summary: This position requires regular communication with management and business stakeholders and is accountable for driving requirements, planning, execution, and delivery of our enterprise application projects within the Operations and Estimating Departments. This will include working with end users to ensure business needs are defined and met.

This individual will work with the IT Director and Senior Operations leadership to develop project plans, cost estimates, and provide assistance in determining annual budgets related to our enterprise software deployment footprint.

The position will be responsible for the timely and on-budget execution of software enhancements, training plans, user adoption and ongoing support.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following, as other duties may be assigned:

Ongoing Project Implementation and Training

  • Perform duties as primary contact/liaison for ongoing support of PROCORE, VIEWPOINT, BRIQ
    and other enterprise SaaS and Cloud applications used at Catamount
  • Develop and maintain feature release schedule and publish to user community
  • Coordinate internal and external training resources to support ongoing user adoption and onboarding of new employees for Procore
  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on use of software tools and resources (i.e. Procore, Briq and BlueBeam) across multiple business units
  • Maintain Ticket Queue for problems reported by user and document and refer for escalation to vendor support as needed.

Platform Adoption

  • Establish clear/concise work standards and goals for project staff
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure department work is performed correctly, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner
  • Produce and update work procedure and standards documents. Compile various monthly department reports, as needed
  • Assist in development, implementation, and interpretation of project procedures
  • Be able to recognize and develop improvements to reduce and duplication of work and increase productivity through effective problem solving
  • Be able to link/match operational process improvements with IT solutions while maintaining or improving company risk profile.

Training

  • Perform field need assessments to define the information and skill areas requiring training aids and programs
  • Develop training materials and outlines in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and the most effective training delivery methods, such as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
  • Select of develop teaching aids, such as handbooks and manuals and self-paced training videos
  • Conduct general or specialized training sessions covering specified areas, offering technical knowledge and skills required to do specific job functions and other such subject areas which require adaptation to changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies
  • Effectively be able to communicate case for change and understand impacts to organizational capacity
  • Can develop and execute implementation plans
  • Be able to effectively train in person or remotely via Teams/Zoom platforms.

Maintenance & Administration

  • Perform regular maintenance of SaaS and Cloud Applications to ensure data integrity for reporting
  • Perform quarterly maintenance of Procore platform to archive projects past warranty dates and ensure compliance with company data retention policies
  • Negotiate and maintain vendor contracts for SaaS and Cloud Applications
  • Ensure data integrity between ERP solutions (Procore-Viewpoint-Texture).

Aligns stakeholders during the entire project life cycle to meet or exceed projected results.

Supervisory responsibilities: There are no direct reports for this position.

Physical demands: This role is required to be performed on-site (in a Catamount Office), and therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; bend; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Travel: Frequent travel to our offices located in Atlanta, Denver, Savannah, Florida and San Antonio.

Position Requirements

Education, experience & qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following:

  • Knowledge of typical construction software including Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Textura CPM, Planswift, Building Connected, BI Tools and general construction industry knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of document control work processes and utilization of SharePoint for document management, as well as corporate procedures related to document management
  • Excellent ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand English and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and company policies and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of database concepts, project-related software, and the ability to train others in its use via live or virtual trainings
  • 3-5 years Business Application Implementation experience including Procore
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related construction management experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Viewpoint Vista, Textura CPM and data analytics a plus.
