SUMMARY

Village Health Partners (now a part of Catalyst Health Group) is a well-established primary care practice dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to our community. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a compassionate and supportive environment.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistants to join our team. We have offices in Plano, Frisco, and McKinney. As a Medical Assistant at Village Health Partners, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical operations and ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules
  • Review presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriately
  • Assist Physician or Advanced Practitioner with examinations or procedures
  • Obtain vital signs and prep patient for visit
  • Fluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocols
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient records
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment
  • Appropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needs
  • Follow all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegates
  • Meet performance and service level criteria as defined in "Performance Metrics"
  • Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years related experience, preferably in a Primary Care office setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant - must be active and current
  • Athena EMR experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in properly handling confidential and sensitive information; knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
