TITLE: Dispensary Manager (Inventory Focus)

PAY RATE: $26 starting

JOB STATUS: Full-time (40 hrs) / Open Availability Needed

POSITION SUMMARY: Dispensary Managers are meticulous and detail oriented employees who have showcased these traits in prior roles proving that they have the skills and abilities it takes to maintain and analyze inventory and sales data to further drive their stores forward. Being one of the leading Southern California Dispensary Operators, Catalyst puts a lot of trust in our Inventory Managers and relies on them to oversee Inventory Stock Levels and to remain compliant at all times. Inventory is the backbone of our retail operations. Without the constant upkeep and attention, it can cause a store a number of hiccups that affect sales/COGS on a daily basis. Our Ideal candidate is someone who works well under pressure and understands the importance of constant communication with the Purchasing team to notify them of any needs or excessive surplus. Our Dispensary Manager- should be professional, driven, detailed and highly organized with the ability to communicate effectively with all staff, vendors, mgmt and occasionally the HQ team. They will work directly with Purchasing and Mgmt to ensure accuracy in receiving, intake, pricing, Inventory reconciliations and compliance. This person will cover a wide range of responsibilities all tied to the health of the store's Inventory and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

❖ Responsible for accuracy in all things regarding inventory control.

❖ Forecasts inventory needs to avoid inefficiencies, excessive surplus, or loss in expired product.

❖ Keeps a close eye on expiration dates and practices FIFO/FEFO methods. (First In, First Out/ First Expired, First Out)

❖ Reaches out to Purchasing and Vendors to collect credits or set up promotions on any products within 60-90 days of expiration.

❖ Works closely with Demo Manager to monitor lingering product and schedule demos accordingly to push stale inventory.

❖ Experienced and accurate in both receiving and intake procedures (METRC POS) and has the ability to train any and all incoming Mgmt.

❖ Ensures all products are thoroughly inspected prior to being accepted.

❖ Experienced in Inventory Count Prep, Procedure, and Reporting. Knows how to properly set up Inventory Folders in the Inventory Drive.

❖ Responsible for being aware of all scheduled deliveries and reviewing invoices prior to delivery.

❖ Makes sure all peers are comfortable and trained on all Inventory tasks - offers help and guidance to help develop anyone lacking.

❖ Ensures upkeep and proper tracking/reporting of wasted, defective, and expired products before scheduled Cannabis Waste pickup.

❖ Delegates retail product prep and organization to Store Leads as needed.

❖ Ensures the sales floor is stocked at all times and performs product fills as necessary.

❖ Maintains an organized vault/inventory storage space. (Constantly condenses product into appropriate size bins according to stock levels)

❖ Ensure all products are kept in their ideal state to preserve freshness and quality.

❖ Keeps up on all Compliance standards and policies set in place.

❖ Communicates effectively with all peers - MGMT should be a united front - regardless of role focus.

❖ Understands that work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.

❖ Understand that they are not exempt from everyday managerial responsibilities; While they must prioritize important projects when necessary, they still coordinate with peers to efficiently delegate and handle all daily operations. Ability to open/close the shop, accurately create daily schedules, close registers, reconcile any cash discrepancies, load ATM, cover/ manage the sales floor, etc.

❖ Performs other duties/functions as necessary or assigned by GM.

NECESSARY ABILITIES:

• Full understanding of Inventory Count Procedure and Reporting.
• Full understanding of Cannabis Waste Procedure and Reporting.
• Full understanding of Receiving and Intake Procedures.
• Full understanding of all manager responsibilities - POS function, cash handling, shift swaps, daily schedule, etc.
• Willingness and ability to train/offer guidance or support to all managers on any Inventory related tasks.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed. Ability and willingness to learn quickly and stay on task.
• Ability to multitask and time manage.
• Ability to follow procedures and prevent errors.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies in Inventory.
• Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Must be able to adapt between working as part of a team and independently.
• Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years related inventory control experience preferred; cannabis industry exp. not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Industry experience will also be taken into consideration.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Some lifting, squatting, bending, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to use a computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems.
• Must comply with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
• Strong PC skills including the ability to create Excel and Google Sheets models and spreadsheet tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.
