CATABUS is Hiring a Part-Time Bus Operator Near State College, PA

PAID Training Provided!$3,500 Sign-On Bonus for candidates with Class A/B CDL, passenger endorsement and air brake restriction removed$2,500 Sign-on Bonus for all other license classifications 
Do you have an employment background that includes customer service, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people? This position requires flexibility, the aptitude to follow direction, and the capability to perform a variety of work-related tasks. Successful completion of CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement training and testing will be required.As a Part-Time Bus Operator at CATA you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to all of our staff and customers. Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.
  • Safe and timely operation of a transit coach in all types of weather conditions while in compliance with FTA policies/procedures and all Federal and State traffic laws/regulation
  • Tactful and courteous interaction with riders, other motorists, and the general public
  • Maintain working knowledge of streets, current bus routes and stops, fare structures, and bus pass programs
  • Comply with ADA requirements to properly operate the accessibility ramp and wheelchair lifts, safely secure passengers, and make required stop announcements as needed
  • Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly as needed for pre-trip/post-trip, incidents/accidents, and maintenance repair forms
  • Work a flexible schedule up to 26 hours per week that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts
  • Performs related tasks as required
