This position requires flexibility, the aptitude to follow direction, and the capability to perform a variety of physical, work-related tasks. Successful completion of CDL Class A with Passenger Endorsement training and testing will be required - CATA provides training and testing for the selected candidate. As a Heavy-Duty Service Technician at CATA, you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to our staff and customers. Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.

• Assists in performing general maintenance and repair of transit coaches, automobiles, and equipment;
• Performs periodic maintenance on vehicles in conformance with manufacturers specifications and requirements;
• Inspects vehicles for damage and wear;
• Changes and repairs all sizes and types of tires;
• Does minor mechanical repairs and performs minor component replacement and repair;
• Makes service calls to repair and/or retrieve disabled vehicles;
• Works in conjunction with mechanics on major repairs;
• Performs Pennsylvania State vehicle inspections per vehicle code;
• Operates and qualifies on fuel dispensing equipment to include CNG, diesel and gas

Salary for Year One: $23.00 per hour, Year Two: $25.88 per hour, After Year Two: $28.75 per hour
