Caterpillar is seeking an IT Leader to manage the teams governing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Salesforce implementations, as a part of the Enterprise Cloud Adoption team within Global Information Services. In this role, you will coach, guide and facilitate the continued growth of a diverse technical work group to develop collaborative relationships among themselves, with business partners, suppliers and other multiple other information technology groups to ensure goals are achieved. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Being an advocate for cloud technologies Establishing foundational controls and configurations for Google Cloud Platform (large focus on IAM and BigQuery initially) Maintaining established controls for Salesforce technologies Delivering on key initiatives, working directly with key business partners in business units and throughout the IT organization (information security, networking, desktop, etc.) Be technically engaged to guide team to make crucial technical decisions in relation to product, processes, tools, and technologies Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field Eight to Ten years of progressively responsible experience in Enterprise-scale IT Previous supervisor experience, or proven team leadership, leading a large multi-functional team, and/or highly skilled technical resources Top Candidates Will Also Have: Demonstrated quick and clear decision-making skills Demonstrated strong people management skills, with a focus on developing others Previous experience with IT Architecture or Cybersecurity Experience with public cloud services (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Foundational Certification) Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills and business acumen Able to communicate technical information effectively with management, your work group, as well employees in other business units and suppliers. Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders. An enjoyment for significant challenges, change management, and being held accountable to produce quantifiable results.
