Full-Time Sales Agronomist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Agronomist with a specialized focus on seed sales and management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in agronomy, excellent sales skills, and a deep understanding of seed technology and products.

This position will be full time, normal hours will be 8-5 Monday through Friday, additional hours and weekend hours are mandatory during peak seasons.

Essential Functions Agronomy Salesperson

• Market and sell seeds, fertilizers and crop protection products, with a specialized focus on seed sales and management
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve seed sales targets.
• Provide expert agronomic advice to farmers and clients on seed selection, planting, and crop management.
• Communicate new product offerings and pricing information to clients
• Visit farms to visit new and existing customers
• Manage and track inventory, bookings, completing claims and invoices
• Build and maintain customer relationships with emphasis on customer service
• Follow industry news and stay informed about new products and research
• Scout fields and collect soil samples
• Performing cleaning and maintenance to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and co-workers
• Complete all safety reports and required record keeping
• Seed Treating, maintain and keep clean seed treating facilities.
• Operate wheel loaders, forklifts, skid steers and similar equipment
• Help with grain receiving and other departments as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field. Relevant experience can substitute for educational qualifications.
• Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, climbing/descending stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 55 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered normal when required.
• Clean Driving record is required
• Class A CDL preferred
